Indian Raisin Prices Set to Climb as Production Drops by 80%

Raisin production has been severely impacted this season in India, with output down by 80% compared to last year due to excessive seasonal rains. This sharp decline is expected to push up raisin prices in Disawar Mandi, where bulk sales could reach USD 3,60 per kg in April.

Current Raisin Prices in Key Markets

In Disawar Mandi, Indian raisins and round quality raisins are currently selling at USD 2,64–3,00 per kg, while long quality raisins are priced between USD 2,82–3,36 per kg. Market experts predict an additional price increase of USD 0,36–0,48 per kg next month.

In Sangli Mandi, new raisins introduced in mid-February were priced at USD 2,76–2,88 per kg, a notable rise from last year's prices of USD 2,04–2,16 per kg.
